The Assistant Store Manager is a senior level executive responsible for all aspects of running a profitable store location. The individual is responsible for setting the tone and leading the store’s culture/environment to ensure success in all areas of customer service, profitability, operations, development of people, merchandise and assortment presentation.
Department Managers are responsible for directing all daily activities in a specific merchandise area. This includes guiding the success of a multi-million dollar department by leading and motivating the selling team, developing and managing the service environment and presenting a clean, neat and organized shopping environment for our customers.
The Assistant Department Manager is primarily responsible for learning all aspects of running the business and maximizing departmental sales performance through delivery of high quality customer service and sales floor leadership. This position was expressly created as a training function to facilitate progression into the Department Manager role.
Working with the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Managers and Department Managers as part of the management team, the Register Complex Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of the front end, overseeing the functioning of the cash registers and supporting equipment, and all duties of the cashiers. Responsibilities include staffing, training, scheduling, inventory control, equipment maintenance, and loss prevention. Register Complex Supervisors are also responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service throughout the store.
As a cosmetic Beauty Advisor you will be assigned to represent one of our prestigious vendor lines. Your superior sales skills and customer service will be used to develop and maintain client relationships. Participation in training and vendor seminars will provide additional skills to enable you to provide product knowledge to clients and assist you in generating fun and excitement with the latest trends and styles through special events and promotions.
As a Cosmetics Counter Manager you will be responsible for managing the beauty advisors of one of our prestigious vendor lines. Your superior sales and customer service skills will be used to develop both your beauty advisor staff and client relationships. Participation in training and vendor seminars will provide additional skills to further enable you to demonstrate product knowledge to your staff and clients.
Stock Associates are responsible for processing new merchandise (unpacking, hanging, etc.) and delivering it to the floor. Responsibilities also include processing merchandise for movement to the selling floor, returns to vendor, markdowns and transfers to other locations. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
The Individual translates business strategies into results through people, at the store level, for the assigned store. This individual provides counseling to the store leadership team regarding employment, motivation, staffing, training, development, retention, employee relations, compensation and performance management. And they partner with the store team to deliver human resource policies and procedures, performance counseling and internal communications. The person must demonstrate strong leadership in ensuring a work environment representative of Century 21 Department Stores overall goals and objectives.
As a Loss Prevention Group Manager you will be empowered to ensure that your store operates efficiently and achieves their shortage goals. Your scope of responsibility will include asset protection, payroll expense management, management of Security Manager, Assistant Manager and staff, and the directing of shortage initiatives, investigation and surveillance.
Maintenance associates are responsible for maintaining the selling floor and all other non-selling areas to the highest standard. Additional responsibilities include complete housekeeping accountability for all selling areas, customer and employee restrooms, fitting rooms and offices, including vacuuming and trash removal. Familiarity with cleaning products is a plus. Must be able to lift a minimum 20 pounds.

Distribution Center Positions
The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations in a given area of responsibility within a division. He/She will ensure that level of service guidelines are met by working closely with DC management and associates. And will ensure that company policies and procedures are followed. Bilingual is a plus.
The Picker/Packer is responsible for filling orders and delivering them to their destination in a manner that meets company standards. He/She obtains merchandise from cartons, bins, or shelves and ensures the completeness and correctness of all orders filled. The individual may operate material handling equipment. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
Truck Drivers are responsible for the transportation of merchandise to all stores; picking up merchandise from a variety of vendors within a ten mile radius of the distribution center; and assisting in the off-load process for various stores. The individual may also work in the distribution center when needed. Candidates must have at least one year of experience working within the industry and have a working knowledge of tractor-trailers and their general maintenance. The individual must have a class A CDL license.

Corporate Office Positions
This department has several levels of accounting positions for individuals based on experience. These include cash disbursements and receipts; preparation of general ledger entries and analysis; sales tax returns; reports for upper management; bank reconciliations; financial analysis; and special projects. Qualified candidates will have a four year accounting degree, the ability to work well under deadline pressure; be a self starter; and have strong analytical and Excel skills.
The Accounts Receivable position includes processing and controlling cooperative advertising receivables; coordination and collection of freight claims; also includes processing of all utility invoices on a timely basis. Qualified candidates will have experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable.
The Assistant Buyer assists a Buyer in selection and procurement of merchandise, supporting overall company sales volume, gross margin and turnover objectives. The individual provides operational support to Buyers and will assume buying responsibility of key classification, once the Buyer determines proficiency level.
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for employee file maintenance, entering, calculating and organizing manual checks and timesheets for all active employees. The individual processes weekly payroll, prints ADP reports, reviews salary adjustments, reviews salary changes and increases, separates checks for distribution, enters and maintains garnishments, and third party sick pay payments.
Sales Audit positions are responsible for the accuracy and controlling of sales flow from registers to our merchandise system, balancing all credit card sales and follow up for bank payments submitting debit card adjustments, research and dispute of credit card chargebacks, credit card retrievals, gift card controls, refunds, post voids, and non-merchandise transactions audits, edit and manual adjustments for sales transactions, gathering information for daily/weekly/monthly reports, monthly journal entries, general customer service between stores and our customers.
The paid internship program is designed for students who are attending school for a fashion merchandising degree and are interested in training to become a Buyer. The intern will be trained in all buying functions including utilizing merchandising systems, buying and reordering merchandise, creating vendor relations and entering purchase orders. Out of office experience includes on floor merchandising, floor moves, attending the market with senior buyers and meeting vendors.
